We will meet at 6 p.m. for dinner of wraps and salad, with an update by members who have attended ASIST Annual Conference, followed by the program SECOND LIFE 101.
Program description:
Virtual worlds such as Second Life are growing at incredible rates. Learn what Second Life is and about the InfoIsland Library Project that has now become an archipelago of more than 20 large islands in less than a year. Discover the opportunities and challenges of working in this type of environment and why a presence in this kind of environment may or may not be beneficial for your library.

Registration:
The program is free but there is a $15 charge for dinner. Students, between jobs and retired pay $12 for dinner. On the menu: wraps and salad.

Parking: if you Mapquest 20680 North Park Blvd, Shaker Heights, 44118. That will get you to Pizzazz. There, you turn right, drive about 50 yards to the guard house. After checking in with the guard, turn right. Then follow the drive around the edge of campus to Administration Drive. Turn left, go half a block to a jog in the drive, where you turn left into the temporary lot. The library is on the far side of the lot. The Mackin Room is in the basement, down the stairs near the reference desk. Then jog to the right and go straight ahead to the Lecture Room at the end of the hall.
