This guidesheet was created to assist you in course selection; however, it is not a replacement for the school's "Program Statement" form. Note: some courses/workshops on this guidesheet are NOT offered every year.
Please meet regularly with your faculty advisor to ensure that you are taking at least one course from among the three REQUIRED course elective areas:
- Access to Information (Category A)
- Organization and Representation of Knowledge (Category O/R)
- Administration and Management (Category M)

LIS 50693: WORKSHOPS in LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE
- A maximum of four workshop credits can be applied to your M.L.I.S. degree with your faculty advisor's approval.
- You must complete the "Request for Workshop Approval" form to receive credit for a workshop.
- You cannot receive credit for both a workshop and a class with similar content. Please refer to the "Workshop / Course Overlap" list.
