Housed on the third floor of University Library in the heart of Kent State’s campus, the School of Library and Information Science boasts state-of-the-art technology, flexible classroom space, a computer laboratory, spacious student lounge, distance learning and videoconferencing facilities , and wireless internet access .

SLIS is also home to the Reinberger Children's Library Center , a model classroom for aspiring children's and young adult librarians and school library media specialists. The unique classroom includes more then 6,000 books and multimedia, a demonstration school library media center, and demonstration children's and young adult areas.

Administrative and faculty offices are in close proximity to classroom areas, offering students instruction, advising, and administrative assistance in one convenient location.

Located directly across Rissman Plaza from the Kent State Student Center, University Library allows students access to parking, food service, study space, and bus transportation.
