Students completing the four core courses in Year 1 and the four recommended electives in Year 2 will have completed 24 of the 36 hours required for graduation. The final 12 credit hours include a fifth core course (3 hours) which will be offered as a web-based class and can be taken at any point during the program and a Culminating Experience (3 hours) which must be completed by all students.
Neither of these courses require physical presence in a classroom. The remaining six credits hours can be completed through a combination of taking workshops (only allowed up to 4 credits), transferring graduate credit from another university, taking a practicum, taking an individual investigation, or completing web-based courses.
Note: The schedule is subject to change (e.g., the length of the class, which night, which semester, whether a class is offered in the first or second part of the 16-week semester, etc.), but the courses listed above will be offered in 2007- 2009 at LCCC, The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, and Ohio University. In addition, except in the case of an unavoidable emergency situation, courses will be offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings for the entire 2 year cycle.
Columbus and Kent students and students at other 12-12-12 sites or in a different two-year cycle at the same external location are permitted to enroll in classes offered at these external sites only on a space-available basis. Click here for enrollment policy information.
