Students of SLIS-Kent are, for the moment, eligible for one email account offered through the university: the kentmail account. This university account is both POP and IMAP compliant. Kentmail can be accessed through clients like Eudora, Netscape, Thunderbird or Outlook.

Kent State University launched Kent State's FlashLine in fall semester 2003. FlashLine is a Web portal for the University community that improves and streamlines electronic communication University wide. The portal provides KSU with a new e-mail system, a calendaring system and secure, single-sign-on access to Web CT, Web for Students and Web for Faculty and Advisors. Getting Mail With a POP client

Specifics for the first time use of your campus email with a POP client like Eudora in one of the campus "open labs" can be found at Campus Helpdesk.

The essential settings for a campus email account are:

Pop Server: pop.kent.edu
SMTP server: Check with your ISP...
User ID: your campus ID. Your ID can be determined at The Kent Campus Phone Directory
password: your campus password.
