In the process, we have put Kent State on the national map as a leader in children's librarianship, knowledge management and information literacy.
SLIS at Kent State University is the only American Library Association accredited Masters in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree program in the state of Ohio. An M.L.I.S. degree is the basic requirement for professional employment in most libraries and information centers.
